The main building style is Art Deco (masonry and concrete), build in 1937 and renovated in 1955 with an addition of a second floor office. The 7,000 square foot crane bay was constructed in 1945. In 1998 the building was purchased by five artists and is still owned by two – Mike Nolte and Beth Sahagian – Allsopp – who own and operate Vanguard Sculpture Services Ltd. Vanguard is a Fine art bronze casting foundry and sculpture restoration studio, repairing and maintaining all types of sculpture. The building also houses 2000 square feet of art exhibition space. Visitors enter the art gallery and view the current exhibition. Guided or self-guided tours of the art casting facility are available. Vanguard associates will be on hand for tours and to explain the bronze casting process.
