The main building style is Art Deco (masonry and concrete), built in 1937 and renovated in 1955 with the addition of a second floor office. Various owners later, in 1998, the building was purchased by five artists, and is currently still owned by two of the five — Michael P. Nolte and Beth Sahagian Allsopp — who own and operate Vanguard Sculpture Services: fine art bronze casting and sculpture restoration. In 2012, an art gallery was built in part of the original building. The gallery features contemporary art with an emphasis on cast metal sculpture.
Tour production areas and the current exhibition in the art gallery. Vanguard artists will be on hand to answer questions, describe the bronze casting process, and speak about the pieces of art on display or in production.
